Jeff is an Investment Manager with Redmayne Bentley, based in Stokesley. He joined stockbrokers Stancliffe Todd & Hodgson as an investment analyst having qualified as a chartered accountant with Thomson Mclintock [now part of KPMG]. He subsequently became a partner in the firm and later joined the main board of Allied Provincial Securities plc which was formed from a merger of Stancliffe Todd & Hodgson and eight other regional stockbroking firms. After Allied Provincial was taken over he set up his own office in Middlesbrough for Redmayne Bentley to allow him to focus on private client investment management. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales [FCA] and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment [FCSI]. When asked about his reasons for becoming a Trustee Jeff is clear, stating that he “was very impressed with the work of TVCF and felt I could supplement the skills of a very professional team”.
When not working Jeff is a keen skier and enjoys sailing with friends but only in warmer climates he is keen to stress! When not up a mountain or on the high seas, Jeff enjoys watching most sports or sampling good food and wine by visiting local restaurants.
Jeff’s favourite local landmark is Roseberry Topping; he says you get a very interesting view of the immense diversity of the area from the summit!
