Bulkhaul

Bulkhaul Limited is a British company specialising in global tank transportation of bulk liquids and powders. It was established in 1981 by Steve Gibson in Middlesbrough. Steve, only 22 years old at the time, borrowed £1000 from his father to launch the company.

Bulkhaul Limited is run under the holding company Gibson O'Neill owned by Gibson and Michael O'Neill.  Bulkhaul ceased manufacturing at its Teesside base in 2002, although its’ main base of operations will remain in Middlesbrough.

The operations centre is based in Middlesbrough and Bulkhaul's tank units in transit around the world are regularly routed through the company's own workshops on Teesside for monitoring and maintenance. Modern maintenance facilities are also available at the company's Frankfurt site.

In addition to the Middlesbrough base, Bulkhaul has centres and offices worldwide, covering the principal global routes in European, Atlantic and Pacific regions.

The success of their approach has been rewarded with close relationships with most of the world's first class chemical companies. These organisations set the most demanding operating standards for themselves and their suppliers and recognise that Bulkhaul's drive for quality complements their own aspirations. A real Teesside success story, with Steve recently having his efforts recognised with the award of an OBE in the 2017 New Year’s Honours.
