Support for Teesside Stroke Survivors
A Middlesbrough based club offering support to stroke survivors from Teesside has been able to purchase specialist equipment to aid recovery.
The volunteer-led organisation provide attendees with a safe and relaxed environment in which they can improve health and maximise their recovery whilst offering carers some much needed respite.
Teesside Stroke Club - founded in 2012 - have around 64 attendees each week over three sessions and encourage participation in activity in order to aid recovery and avoid social isolation.
With recent funding from Tees Valley Community Foundation, Teesside Stroke Club were able to buy additional equipment suitable for home use to allow continuity of exercise outside of the gym environment.
