Hartlepool community service receives help to re-open centre after pandemic

Hartlepool People is a voluntary organisation running a large community resource centre in Hartlepool. The organisation delivers a variety of programmes, including educational and recreational courses and a range of volunteer and training opportunities. They have established a very close working relationship with some of Hartlepool’s most vulnerable, including those living in financial hardship, homeless and refugees. The group have had to close the centre due to Covid-19 and the organisation’s income streams and donations of goods have all but dried up.  Like many, they are concerned about how they will manage to re-open the centre in the aftermath. TVCF are happy to award funding to Hartlepool People to enable them to cover their core running costs so that the vital services they were delivering before the pandemic can be resumed as soon as it is safe to do so.
