Chris Cave Foundation adapts to help the vulnerable through Covid crisis
Whilst local food banks are still operating in our area, they are inundated with demand; many are struggling to meet the need for deliveries to individuals who are shielding and unable to leave their homes to purchase essentials. Although this service is out of the norm for The Chris Cave Foundation, they have adapted and responded by collecting groceries and distributing them.
The Chris Cave Foundation is a Redcar-based, family-run charity, founded by Theresa Cave - the charity’s main aim is to provide support and education to families and local communities affected by violent crimes. Having established a close working relationship with Redcar and Cleveland Council, the group was approached by the local authority for assistance in delivering food and groceries to the most vulnerable during the pandemic. TVCF has supported the charity's efforts so they continue with this vital, temporary service for the foreseeable future.
