You’ve Got This, Tees Valley Community Foundation (TVCF) and Everyone Active have come together to support voluntary organisations and community groups working with or wanting to work with inactive people.
Funding of £200,000 is currently available through the Community Movement Fund, a targeted community investment for groups that are based or work in North Ormesby, Brambles and Thorntree, Grangetown and South Bank.
“This funding provides an opportunity for groups to listen to community voices and work in partnership with local residents to develop and deliver activities that encourage inactive people to make positive, lifelong changes in their approach to being physically active,” said TVCF CEO, Hugh McGouran.
“But this funding stream is more than just a grant. It provides an opportunity to get valuable support from two skilled organisations – Everyone Active and Tees Valley Community Foundation – to help groups and residents turn ideas into reality and achieve sustainable growth.”
In order to support inactive people to make ‘Active Lives a Way of Life’, interested groups in the areas listed must be able to demonstrate good reach into the local communities and have a track record of engaging residents in activity development and implementation.
